A significant milestone was reached on 28th September 2014 with the signing of an agreement between TOYO INKS, Japan, and the Lucknow Printers’ Association (LPA) at Hotel Golden Tulip, Lucknow. This marked the first instance of a printing association entering into such an agreement with an ink manufacturer. The agreement was officially executed by Mr. Harjinder Singh, General Secretary of LPA, and Mr. Takashi Imaizumi, Director of Sales, Toyo Ink India Pvt. Ltd. Under this partnership, Toyo Ink, a leading Japanese ink manufacturer, and LPA, representing printers in Lucknow, agreed to supply inks used in offset printing to LPA members at subsidized rates. Additionally, the ink prices for LPA members would remain fixed throughout the year, regardless of any market price increases. This arrangement provided significant price stability and relief to Lucknow’s printers, who had faced continual ink price rises over the preceding year.
