Notably, in June 2013, he played a key role during the natural disaster in Uttarakhand, successfully navigating the complexities of the crisis. Again, in August 2017, when Hurricane Irma—one of the deadliest cyclones in the United States—struck Florida, he single-handedly coordinated the evacuation of all Indian delegates in Orlando. These experiences showcase his decisiveness and commitment to the welfare of those he leads.

He has served as a member of two sectional committees of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), specifically MED25 and CHD14, since 2017. He has played an instrumental role in formulating standards for the printing industry in India.
This sectional committee is tasked with developing standards for printing inks. In 2023, it introduced new standards pertaining to food-safe printing. The committee is also responsible for establishing health and safety standards for toys, stationery, and children's schoolbooks.
This sectional committee oversees the development of standards for printing machines, pre-press machines, and post-press machines. Appointed as Convenor of the MED25 committee, he successfully led the preparation of three new standards in 2021, including IS 11610:2022 for rubber rollers and IS 12619:2022, the safety code for the printing industry.

Received during World Standards Day. First time national awards were conferred upon sectional committee members of BIS. Selected as one of only 15 individuals from several hundred members. Award recognized contributions to development of new standards within sectional committee MED 25.
Demonstrated crisis management and leadership abilities
In June 2013, he undertook a pilgrimage to Gurdwara Sri Hemkunt Sahib, situated at an altitude of 15,220 feet, traveling with his family as a regular devotee. Upon reaching Gurdwara Govind Dham, the second-to-last stop before the main shrine, a sudden downpour began and continued relentlessly throughout the night, leading to a serious and unexpected situation.The following morning, the station manager urgently informed him about a disaster that had occurred overnight. With no electricity and mobile networks completely non-functional, communication was severely limited, and only a satellite phone was available. Soon after, he received calls from the trustees requesting him to take charge of managing nearly 5,000 stranded devotees on the Gurdwara campus. Despite deteriorating conditions, rising anxiety among people, and extremely limited resources including food and fuel, he remained calm and took responsibility for maintaining order. Over the next ten days, he continuously managed the situation through coordination, discipline, and decision-making under pressure, even in the face of unrest, threats, and resistance from some individuals.
With the support of the Indian Army, he successfully ensured the safe evacuation of all devotees. He was the last individual to leave for Rishikesh, and most importantly, there were no casualties during the entire ten-day period, reflecting effective leadership and collective effort under extreme conditions.
In 2017, he traveled to the United States as the leader of a 20-member delegation to attend an international printing exhibition, representing AIFMP in his role as Chairman of International Relations. The group arrived in Orlando with plans to stay for three days before traveling to Chicago, but on the very first night, news reports warned that Cyclone Irma was expected to strike the city within two days.Recognizing the urgency, he immediately decided to evacuate the entire group to Chicago ahead of the storm. The next day, he led all delegates to the airport and worked continuously for nearly 24 hours under intense pressure, as flights were fully booked and the situation was rapidly evolving. During this time, he coordinated closely with the Indian Consulate in Florida and United Airlines, with support from Mr. D. V. Singh, who remained in constant communication throughout the night. Despite overcrowded conditions at the airport and limited availability of flights, he remained composed and persistent, continuing efforts to secure travel for the group.
By early morning, through continuous follow-up and coordination, he successfully secured seats for all 20 delegates on the first available flight to Chicago at 7:30 AM. Notably, the last scheduled flight from Orlando airport was at 5:00 PM that same day, after which the airport was shut down due to the cyclone and remained closed for nearly 20 days. This experience highlights his ability to lead decisively, manage high-pressure situations, and ensure the safety of those under his responsibility.
